Small turning and Stop Blocks
Stop blocks can get in the way when cutting flutes on short turnings. The far side of a stop block can block the Flute Master base from moving the base around the perimeter of the turning.
There is a solution. Take the top side of the aluminum stop block by itself, and use small C-clamps to clamp in place with no part of the stop block going beyond the center of the lathe ways.
This small 3 1/2 x 4 inch cup is too short for stop stop blocks to allow full movement of the base of the Flute Master/Spiral Master. Using C clamps at left solves the problem..
