American Made Tools For Particular Craftsmen
After inventing the highly successful Flute Master, turner Dick Webber was asked by users to find a way for it to make spiral cuts.
With the aid of an innovative engineer, the two finally solved the challenges to design a tool that is economical and makes spiral cuts, both clockwise and counter clock-wise, on lathes from 12 to 25 inch capacities.
The assembly installs by its Morse Taper into the lathe and the other side holds a spindle fastened to the user’s chuck.
As the Flute Master is moved along the lathe bed the turning is rotated by the Spiral Master, following the profile of the turning.
An optional sprocket is available to cut 6.3 and 9.8 inch pitch spirals. The tool comes with a sprocket to cut 12.9 inch pitch spirals.
